About the Author:
5 facts about Doris Lessing and an image
The first fact that I chose about Doris Lessing was that she was born Oct 22, 1919. My second one is that she was a British novelist, poet, playwright, librettist, biographer and she was also a short story writer. My third fact is at the age of 14 she had left school and became self educated. Then at the age of 15 she had left home to be a nursemaid. In 1937 she became a telephone operator and was married to her first husband Frank Wisdom, and had two kids before the marriage was ended in 1943. My fourth fact is after a few years she had joined a book club and that is where she met her second husband Gottfried Lessing. She only had one child with him and again the marriage failed and ended in 1949 and never again she got married again. The last fact is that Doris Lessing hasn't died yet her age right now is 93.
Prereading Reflection:
Have you ever set a particular goal or challenge for yourself?
My goal is to become a professional volleyball player because that is my favorite sport to play when I have nothing to do and also because I think that I will make a good player when I get older. Yes I have challenged myself when I play volleyball because that is the way I get motivated and say that I can do it.
Why did you choose that particular goal?
I chose this goal because I really like volleyball and it is what I like to do for my free time.
Did you accomplish your goal?
I actually hope I do accomplish by goal because it would make me very happy and it would be my dream to be a professional volleyball player and I know I can still make it to maybe the Olympics when I'm older.
If so, how did you feel?
If I make it to the Olympics I would be very happy because I would know that I would be very happy about it and know that I will keep working hard.
If not, do you know why?
