Adverb: an adverb describes or gives more information about a verb or adjective or another adverb or a word group, expressing a relation of place, time, and manner. An example for place would be "two cars parked outisde,"outside is the adverb because it is telling you were the cars were parked. Another example for time would be "they deliver the newspapers daily," daily is the adverb because it is telling how often or when the newspapers are being delivered. My last example is manner, "they helped us cheerfully," cheerfully is the adverb because it is describing how the students or people where being helped.
"The Tidings" ParagraphIn "The Tidings" by Archbishop Jose H. Gomez what he is referring to is that is you do good as a kid and in life as you get older, people start to notice you a lot more and you become a good example to people around you and others. In addition, if you are kinda the person that isn't the best example for people, you don't get noticed as much as the other person that is being noticed a lot more than you.
The way I will become more like what Archbishop Jose H. Gomez mentions in this article is that I will become more to be a good example for others and people around me. I know that if I am able to do that people will notice me and mention me whenever they need help on something or for an example for kids. Analysis- "The Summer of the Beautiful White Horse"The short story "The Summer of the Beautiful White Horse" by William Saroyan takes place at 4 am on a summer day, in the old days. William Saroyan in my opinion used a lot of strong vocabulary words. For example he used the word irritable which is on pg. 4 to say "...temper, so irritable, so impatient..." that word means someone who is irritated or annoyed. While I was reading this short story I noticed multiple times that Saroyan didn't put any quotation marks to show that someone was talking. An example for this world be on page. 1 when Mourad went to Aram's bedroom window and said "Aram, he said."In my opinion William Saroyan didn't put "quotation marks'' because it was written in first person.
"Ten Letters: The Sories Americans Tell Their Presidents"-SummaryIn the book that I am reading called "Ten Letters: The Stories Americans Tell Their Presidents" by Eli Saslow is about basically the letters Obama has received while being president. Many of these stories that Obama reads they make him become more motivated and willing to do things that will be able to help change the world, no matter what he has to do. Obama enjoys reading the letters that he receives everyday, almost up to 10 letters he reads and replies to them. While being at the White House, Obama likes to have his own personal space, but being there he doesn't really get any because they have over twenty-seven agents on that job, to protect him from any harm. I personally agree to what Obama has done, not only because he's president, but because he actually takes his time to go through the stories that people send him from all around the world. I'm sure at times he even reads the ones that people are very offensive on but mostly replies to the ones that most matter to him to those who need the help from him on medical help and money situations.
