Rosa's grandfather disliked white people becase when he was a slave they took away his shoes beat him, make him starve, and distreat him.
2.) How does Rosa feel about her brother?
Rosa feels protected by her brother because when her grandmother was going to whip him she told her not to.
3.) In the sentence, "You didn't retaliate if they did something to you," what does retaliate mean?
What retailate means is that when a white person would beat you the black wouldnt be able to fight back.
4.) How did the "Black" school that Rosa attended affect her view of racism?
The black school that Rosa attended effected her view of racism because she knows the difference between the black shools and the white schools on how they are so different on how they look and on the inside.
5.) Why did Rosa's grandmother scold her when she threatened to throw a brick at Franklin?
Rosa's grandmother would scold her because she was afraid of Rosa to become what white peolpe are.
6.) What does Rosa say about white people at the end of Chapter 2?  Why does she say this?
What Rosa says about white people is that not all whites are mean and hateful she says that because there was an old old women that would twke her fishing and she would visit them and stay for a long time talking and treat thwm like everybody else.
7.) How did Rosa's grandmother and mother getting sick affect Rosa's life?
Rosa's grandmother and mother getting sick affected her life because she did not finish school till after she was married.
8.) Why didn't Rosa live with her Cousin Ida?
Rosa didn't live with her Cousin Ida because she wanted to change her name and everything and Rosa's mom didn't want to let go of her.

Rosa's life would have been different if she didn't nove to Montgomery because she might have finished school and not have had a problem finishing her school if she had lived with her Cousin Ida.
