Eugene Allen
Intro
Eugene Allen was born on July 14, 1919 in Scottsville, Virginia. He grew up in a cotton farm and was a slave.
Eugene was an only child but was very loving. There are no records or photos about his parents. As he was getting older, he recieved his first job at Virginia Resort and soon at Washington D.C. country club. After being a waiter at both those places he got promoted to be a butler in the white house. In 1942 he met Helene at the D.C. party. They soon got married and had a son name Charles Allen.

Eugene Allen worked with eight presidents in total. He began with Harry S. Truman. He obeyed Truman along
with the other presidents. The next he worked with John F. Kenedy. He was the closest with John Kennedy. Allen was said as a humble, and a respecting person. Eugene Allen was invited to JFK's funeral after the assassination. He had really good service that satisfied everyone. Allen met Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Duke Ellington and many other people. He helped Martin Luther King with civil rights. When President Reagan was elected, Nancy Reagan had invited Eugene as a guest for the West German Chancellor Helmut Kohl. It was a dinner to celebrate. Soon he retired in 1986. Eugene was a butler for 34 years. Helen died before Obama's election in 2008. Helene and Gene were married for 65 years. Allen saw the election and was invited as a VIP to Obama's innaguration. When he took his speech he cried and said "You wouldn't even dream that you could dream of a moment like this."
Conclusion
Eugene Allen was the only child. When he was younger his mother was mugged and killed and his dad was shot at the same time as his mom. When the movie "The Butler" came out last year in 2013 the movie was Eugene's inspiration because it mostly talked about his life and what he has been through while he was young. Eugene was working for 8 presidents for 34 years. While he was butler at the White House thats where he met Helene she was stalking him until she got his number then they got married and had one child only. After a while when Obama was going to be elected as president in 2010 Allen and his wife were planning to vote for him together but then a few minutes before the election Helene was dead then after a few days later Eugene Allen died. On the day of his death Obama cried because Eugene was happy that Obama was going to be the first African-American president. Eugene Allen died at the age 90.

Rosa Parks
Intro:
Rosa Parks was born Febuary 4, 1919 in Tuskegee, Alabama. She grew up poor. Rosa had chronic tonsillites since she was little whch is bad throat disease. Her parents were separated and then she moved to Pine Level. Then Parks lived on a farm woth hr grandparents, mother, and little brother Sylvester.
Body Paragraph:
When Rosa boarded the Cleveland Ave bus she sat in the front row. When the bus started to fill up with white passengers the bus driver told her to stand up and said "I shouldn't have to stand up." Then the bus driver called the cops and had her arrested. Later she said her refusal wasn't because she was physically tired but she was tired of giving. Eventually later that day she got bailed out of jail. Parks kept trying to make people allow them to sit in white areas.
Conclusion:
On October 24, 2005 Rosa Parks died at the age of 92 in Detroit Michigan. On Feb 4, 2013 was Rosa Parks 100th birthday. Later that month Barack Obama unveiled a statue of Rosa Parks in the nations Capital building saying "In a single moment, with the simplest of gestures she helped change America and the world..." Rosa Parks was a very political person.
Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia where his real name was Michael King Jr. He was the middle child of his three sibilings which are Christine King Farris and Alfred Daniel Williams King. He attended Booker T. Washington High School and was known for being an intelligent student. MLK skipped 9th and 11th grade since he was intelligent enough to skip the two grades. After the death of his grandmother at age 12 he wanted to commit suicide by jumping out of his two story house. MLK changed his name from Michael to Martin after the protestant leader Martin Luther.
After highschool Martin attended Morehouse College where excelled in his classes like in the past years. Since Martin Luther kIng was so smart he had gotten offers form universities like Yale and places far away form the U.S. like Edinburgh in Scotland but he had chosen Boston University. In the year 1951 he was a Validictorian since he had aced in all his studies. He married Coretta Scoot who is a singer and a musician in the year 1933 and had four children named Yolanda, Martin Luther King III, Dexter Scott and Bernice King. At the age of 25 King had completed his PH.D. when he was very young. On April 4, 1968 Martin Luther King was assaisnated when he was sitting on the balcony when a snipper, James Earl Ray, had shot him, he was sentanced to 99 years served in prison but had died on April 13, 1998 when he was in prison.
Martin Luther King Jr. had many impacts on society and on the people. After the death of MLK more than a hundred riots had happened with more than 100 cities joining in since his death was so tragic to the poeple. During his time Martin Luther King was known of being a leader for being the leader who spoke for the NAACP meeting, for being a civil rights activist, and for his "I have a Dream Speech" who had chnaged many lives of people.
When Rosa Parks didn't give up her seat to a white man and was arrested the president of the NAACP E.D. Nixon met with other civil rights activists and Martin Luther KIng Jr. to develop a plan for a bus boycott which was the first time a black community joined/participated in a boycott together. Martin was chosen as teh leader to speak for the meeting of the NAACP since he was new to the community, he disn't have many enemies, and they tink that he would have a strong creditbility with the ocmmunity. MLK Jr. has been honored with holidays, monuments, and buildings for his bravery even though he knew he would be killed.
